hmm....

let's see what we have here today. a moment of peace and quiet. nothing to talk about except that a super-cool girl over at SC (i'd link but i don't think she has a blog) got me thinking about how behind-the-times i am when it comes to technology. evidence:

let's just say that my cool stuff doesn't work and these older models have been dropped, watered in the dog dish, dropped again, and some other stuff and they still work. it's not that i don't like or want the new stuff. i'm just not any good with it. clumsy. or maybe i'm just a 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' kinda gal. either way. mike will NEVER buy me an iphone until they come out with something that involves nano-technology and allows you to fit the library of congress on a piece of plastic half the size of a credit card, thus making the iphone 50 cents. or am i that behind that they can already do this?

my SC kit is on it's way...come on mr. brown! i need to finish cleaning up the toy shrapnel in the living room.

my tonsils are making me sarcastic.

oh, and my goal for 2009...CLEAN. everything. de-clutter, organize, house, garage, yard, pantry (meaning eat better). we'll see how all that goes.

Hi Karen --

I know what you mean about new technology. I needed to tell my husband something yesterday and I couldn't figure out how to text him the information, my phone kept calling his number. Grrrr. He got me a new cell phone in September and I still don't know how to work the darn thing!

Good goals!

Technology is not all that it is cracked up to be, and often life is better without some of it - those "cool" people just don't know what they are missing as they are so busy programing their this and that. keep reaching for the old reliables! They have earned your loyalty!

Thanks for the birthday wishes Karen.
And I think you are great with a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" attitude. I certainly could have saved a ton of money that way ;o)

Hey Karen,
Thanks for stopping by my blog. :) This post cracks me up because a friend and I were just talking about how the old school phones, whose sole purpose was to make phone calls, actually work better than the ones with all of the bells and whistles. You are lucky to still have that little baby!

I am so behind in technology. I tried to text mesaage my brother using my mom's cell phone (even my mom is more techno than I) and it took me ten minutes to send the word hi. Whatever.

Ummm...can your goal for 2009 be ammended to say Clean Denise's House? Just a thought.
