STM, hot tub & paper...

this week's assignment at Scrappin' The Music...the song is 'Stay Beautiful' by Taylor Swift. never heard it until i went to complete this challenge. if you haven't visited STM yet, be sure and check it out...amazing talent over there and great inspiration! love it! anyway, speaking of inspiration...this little number is also going to fulfill my challenge for next week's SYC post...use up your beads!

the book spine is a wonderful thing i've turned on to...using old childrens' books (specifically $.25 and $.50 finds at Goodwill) and making notebooks (see bottom of post) and using the up the pages. i know, i'm tearing up books, but my son has enough! i did keep the inside cover with the dedication, however, from 1974 and Grandma Amick whoever that is.

ok, so maybe there's a bit too much going on here, but these colors were just screaming at me to use every ounce of any product i had in red, blue, and yellow. i didn't use every ounce and certainly didn't make a dent in my beads...but...i would love to see this very time consuming technique of doodling then sewing the beads along the lines used on a wedding layout. wouldn't that be lovely?

anywho, i had to combine the two challenges b/c in a bit i have to pack up my scrappin' goodies and get ready to head to a friend's house for a scrappin' weekend! YES!!! hot tub, pool, and scrappin'!!! me, Aimee, and Jana Dawn (i'm going to start calling her that ;))were invited to the vet lady's house, Eva G.--she doesn't have a blog :( ). her hubby is Gomey's veterinarian and i met Eva a while back when working at the lss. her hubby is away this weekend so...partay!!! last time we did this sort of thing Eva invited us to her friend's mostly untouched lake house.

anywho, certain to be good times! see you when i return. have a great weekend!

oh, here's said notebook...froggy went a courtin'....
