well... it's a start! i made this little doober this afternoon. i just think this fabric is so darn cute i had to do something with it! i plan to use this for my ipod and phone when i go to the gym. here's the conversation with the lady on the elliptical machine next to me: "oh, my! that is so cute! did you make that? would you make me one?" at least that's how i see it going in my head :)
oh yeah...and since i know it's completely noticeable (hence, the title of my post), i have to mention why the owls are upside down. i cut a strip of fabric and simply folded it so that i wouldn't have to sew along the bottom. now, if i had thought about it beforehand, i would have realized this was going to happen. so much for strict attention to detail, eh? that all goes out the window when i completely don't know how to do something and it's simply taking me entirely too long to figure it out.
i'll just be sure to keep the 'right side up' side facing out while i carry it. ;)

I would do just what you did, with one side upside down. And I would be frustrated with my decision afterward too! But I still think that is the cutest fabric!
By the way, the door here in Montana is always open for you - and we promise to keep the bears at bay while you are here! Bring the family up and visit. We're near Yellowstone and lots of good fishing, so it is the perfect family with boys vacation - and we have guest rooms available for free.
