little scrappiness...

last night and this morning. working on this mini album so i can keep sketches in one spot. now, if you know me, you're thinking, "sketches?" i know. i never use them. so why the book? i'm hoping that i will use them! evertime i get my BHG SBE mag, i go straight to the pull-out sketches and look at them.

they're so exciting. then i read the rest of the mag and forget about them. then that's it. i always want to use them. i never reach for the mag while i'm making layouts, so perhaps this will be easier! it's not done yet, so...

i used the July Studio Calico kit. and i have to say, there was a point where i really wasn't liking it. this is the first time ever for me. BUT, once i got going and just started adding subtle bits of the color, well maybe that red isn't so subtle, it started working. i think. i'm liking how it's turning out. and that '2' covered brad from Making Memories, well, i feel the need to go to JoAnn today and buy a button kit. that is the cutest dang thing!

What a great idea! It is so awesome to look at too! My sketches are so 'spur of the moment' and always end up being drawn on what ever I can get my hands on. Usually, scraps of paper, little phone message pads or napkins etc. Crazy, I know, but it works for me. :-)
