good saturday to you...

just a typical saturday around here at the nelson home. mike and mich are playing super mario galaxy, owen is catching up on some work on the 'puter:

then he looked so cute that i had to boot him off so i could post the pic.

i worked on two of the upcoming challenges for SYC last night and it seems i missed out on a ton of fun over at SC. they were sharing 'old' layouts. (i had to make that bold so you wouldn't think i whipped this one out recently.) so here's mine:

whew! what a doozie! it's called "Dogs with Hats" just in case you can't read it. a little blurry. how fun is that?

i was thinking earlier about things that come to mind everyday. that doesn't really make sense, so lemme 'splain... when you do certain things, you are reminded of certain people to whom you no longer speak or have any connection...for example, everytime i wash dishes, and i mean every single time, i think of my high school home ec. teacher Mrs. Reiter. she really hated me b/c i was a bit of a wise ass in the latter years of my high school education. i go about washing dishes and i always think of how she made it a point to tell us to "get the water as hot as you can stand it and was those items which touch your mouth first: silverware and glasses."

now, how annoying is it to think of that every single time i hand wash my dishes? arggh...and then, this is even better...i think of my middle school home ec teacher everytime i measure something with a liquid or dry measuring cup. she had really weird fingers and i can remember how she looked measuring things...so irritating. not that i disliked her or Mrs. Reiter for any particular reason, they both just got on my nerves.

well that was probably a lot of info that nobody wanted to read about but i was thinking about it and am wondering if anyone else has these daily thoughts of random people?

anywho, i think that's all for right now. i have some other it to today and one will probably involve doing dishes...again...
