warning...

lots of pictures. i just went around yesterday to take a few pics of some of my favorite things around the house so far. it's still pretty bare in here as i only used what we had at the apartment to decorate and, well, this place is much, much bigger! my fave is the bookcases right next to the mantle and just off our bedroom. they're a little messy with all the dvds but i don't really know where else to put them. i'd like to hide them in something, but then they'd be left out all opened and laying on the shelf anyway, so i used those bins for cords, remotes, etc.





and you can check on the mantle...can you find the phone book and the vhs cases? that little canvas up next to mich's picture is of what michael thought our first house would look like (he drew it a while back at the apartment--cute). and my chickens--roosters or hens? thanks to the ladies at SC, i now know that chickens is simply a generic term for the boys and girls together. hey, i wasn't the only one who didn't know! i'm no farm girl. but i'm guessing these are roosters b/c these guys are fancy.

anywho, the boys are taking the boat out today. must be summer in tx. they are just going to lake weatherford, but i'm still not sure that i want to go and take owen out there. that just doesn't seem right to me, but i guess it's not a big deal down here at all. oh, and we watched indiana jones and the raiders of the lost ark (i want michael to be up to speed when we take him to see the new one) these movies are some of my all-time favorites. so...guess what? he loved it:grocery shopping this morning. ew.

oh, and i had to settle on another folding table for my scrappin' space. seems as though building what i want simply won't leave any room for my legs (with the shelving underneath) unless i want it halfway sticking out in front of the window, which i really don't. so, we will have to go back to the drawing board on that one. there simply isn't enough wall space on one side. bum...
