I met Alisa (pictured, right) in Waco last August. I sat next to her during a class and, from chatting online, it was as if we'd already met. The two of us went out to lunch (she drove me in her corvette and scared the bejeebers out of me) and we talked like we had been friends for quite a while; it was very easy to talk about anything with her, and even to sit when there was nothing to say was not the least bit uncomfortable. Of course, the conversation always turned to paper, as it often does with scrapbookers.
She was a regular over at Studio Calico and she will be dearly missed by the ladies over there. My heart breaks for her family and my prayers go out to them.
It's hard to believe that someone can be gone so quickly.

so sad....my heart goes out to her family and friends.
Gosh, how sad. It makes you realize that anything can happen and appreciate each day.
XOXO

This shocks me...how sad.
My prayers go to this family. I don't even want to imagine. Like you said hold the kids tight. I bet you are glad to have had that time with her though.
So sad and a loss for her family as well as the SC community.
