we camped this weekend but had to cut our trip short as the boat broke down. and really, what's the point of camping on the lake if you can't use the boat? the camper (and all the other "unnecessities" are no fun period)...so we packed it up and came home a day early. don't get me wrong, it's really nice to have the a/c when it's 100 degrees outside, but in that case i'd just rather stay home in the 1st place, kwim? give me cooler weather and a tent and i'd be all over it.
so, we get home to find our new neighbors. and they have dogs. that they don't keep leashed. nice. paw prints all over our yard. gomey is still at the kennel, so we're not sure how it will go. one of the dogs is a heeler, the same kind that attacked gomey the first time. i can't see that poor dog being attacked a third time. poor thing. after the second one, he was probably wishing he had just stayed in his homeland. he must have a 'foreign' scent to him that no other dog likes. that has to be it. he's a magnet for trouble.
i simply can't stand people who don't follow rules at another's expense. not to mention the kids playing outside. do these new neighbors really think their dogs will not stray off their property when temptation is just a few feet away? they're dogs. i don't care how sweet and loyal. they're animals. i'm not saying i'm teaching my kids to stand there at the edge of our property and say, "neener, neener, neener! you can't get me!" but really, two of the dogs have already been over here while we were gone.
enough of that. here are a few pics from our weekend:
i'll post the upcoming SYC later on tonight. i hope. my house is a wreck!
