8 minutes...

we were outside on tuesday evening. michael was trying to ride his bike with the training wheels. he was depending on them too much, leaning to one side then tipping over. i told him he had to try to balance and that the training wheels would help him do this...blah, blah blah. that's how it sounded to him b/c he certainly didn't listen. he went on that way for a bit until he threw his bike down and tore off his helmet.

i guess he needed some of dad's advice. he went inside to explain and dad said the same exact thing i did. the response was, "well, i want my training wheels off right now then!"

oh dear, here we go!

mike went out with him again a bit after this. i had taken the trainers off while waiting for dinner to finish. he got out there and not 5 minutes later:

well, that was far too easy! sometimes i think michael already knows EVERYTHING but just pretends he doesn't because he knows it would be weird to know everything at his age.

LOL I was thinking of that Far Side cartoon when the humans are talking to the dogs and the dogs hear blah blah blah blah. Made me laugh, at your son's expense! LOL! I think your DS was very determined to do that on his own..and he did! Yeah!

It must two wheel learning week in the US. My neighbor kid went pedaling by my house like a madman the other day. Noticed me and yelled I am two wheeling and quickly fell over. LOL! Your son is a fast learner...Henry (the mad pedaler) has been learning for two summers. LOL!
