inside scoop...

wow, thanks for all the comments about our weather. aimee, mike went and looked at the house last night after it was over and i went this morning. everything is fine. i was worried b/c on the weather map, it looked like a tornado was right over top of it!

aleida, glad you didn't get too much of it. sorry about the toupee though. not looking forward to things like that happening. at all.

on a non-weather note, here are some pics i took the other day of the inside. i got the secret code and i go in there all the time! hey, they gave it to me...so why not?

pics are pretty boring. i have some great plans for inside. unfortunately, it will be quite some time before they come to fruition. it seems all we can afford now is rent, food, and gas. sucks. and for me to get a job would be pointless for all that we'd have to pay in child care. so, maybe i can go stock shelves at wally world at night. at least that would pay for our groceries (maybe!) michael's is almost open. mom, should i? i know how much you loved working there!

anywho, let's have at it! oh, and this is probably really dumb, but my fave thing about the fixtures and features are the door stops. they're those really sturdy ones and they make the coolest sound when flicked. i could do that all day.playroom/computer room/SCRAPBOOKING ROOOOOM!!!! it will be more like a scrapbooking corner, but that's fine!

fireplace is OK. will probably never, ever use it until the kiddoes get bigger. will have to get something to cover it up b/c owen has already taken a liking to the sliding screens.
boys' room

love the corner window in the kitchen. the sink it catty-corner there. perfect!!!
somebody goofed up the shade...losers. i wish they were the 2-inch wood blinds. maybe someday.
that's all for now! it has 2, TWO pantries! one in the kitch and then a huge one in the utility room. it's right off the kitchen then goes into the garage. again, perfect!

very nice!
What's a doorstop? To me it is that little triangle you prop under the door to hold it open but that it obviously not what you are flicking...midwesterners want to know???

YEAH! This is so exciting! Love those photos. You are so lucky to get a scrappy room. AND, I do like that fireplace. Thanks, too, for your messages on my blog, even though I have not been able to keep up with others!!!
